  The billing is horrible. Every time I get an allergy shot (which has been ongoing for nearly two years now, 2-4 times a month), I'm told to pay something different. Sometimes I've showed up and have had a credit? Their billing office is supposedly located at a different location (in Altamonte I believe) so I wouldn't be surprised if issues occurred from the telephone game. The waits are horrible. Nurses move with zero sense of urgency. Sometimes they forget you're in the waiting room. The waiting room is tiny for a shot clinic. Sometimes there's nowhere to sit during peak hours. If you don't call ahead of time you can forget getting seen within 30minutes (on top of the 30 min post shot period.... ridiculous!). They have -one- nurse managing the shot clinic. The hours for shot clinic are horrendous if you work. Very very limited. They also do not keep their office open during lunch (1230-130), so if you plan on arriving early to get ahead of crowds for your shots, expect to wait in the scorching Florida summer heat outside the office. If I wasn't in my maintenance stage (about done with allergy shots) I wouldn't go here anymore. I don't recommend this office.

  The reason I am writing this is because of the disappointment I've just had with this office staff altogether. On the first day I called and made an appt for my recent asthma attacks which is considered an emergency. They had something available in about 7 days. They called me back and said That it was booked for the wrong location. They found one closer to me with a sooner date (3 days). Great. Then they called me again on the 2nd day to say I had been discharged because I had a balance of $50 I didn't pay which I had thought was covered by my insurance and took care of a long time ago. Why didn't they tell me this before scheduling my appt?When I first got notice of this balance I had not received the mailed letter of my balance until after the payment date had past. It was sent to an older address. I remember calling the collections office they sent me to and making payments. At most doctors offices of any kind that I've been to as long as you pay your balance you can still be seen. I'm sure rules can be different but I've wasted 2 days with back and forth calling when I could have just gone to an urgent care which I was trying to avoid. I wanted to be seen by a specialist because my asthma has gotten particularly worse then it has been before. Ultimately they won't accept my business because of a one time mix up. I find it sad that they treat you this way instead of letting you redeem yourself and keeping the scheduled appointment so that you can be seen and treated. It's always about money and not being an actual doctor who cares for their patient's well being. Where can I find a asthma doctor who will work with me in an ethical sense?
