  I recently had an exam to diagnose a potential thyroid issue. I was recommended, by a nurse practitioner, to complete some blood work. I paid for the blood work/ lab testing separately from my visit and have since received bills in the mail for over $1000.00. I was specifically told that my payment included the lab work and that I should have the test done there because they have a relationship with quest diagnostics and they're pricing is cheaper than it would be at quest directly. Furthermore, I never once spoke to a doctor. When picked up my lab results I spoke, again, with a nurse practitioner who confirmed my thyroid issue and told me to read some books about the condition. I was still billed $150 for this 5 minute consultantation. I am requesting the office to review my billing issue. I will update if I make any headway.

  I've been coming to Dr. Zelner for many years. I travel over an hour to get to her because I find her to be that good - make that GREAT - of a doctor. Her staff have always been pleasant to me. I have never felt rushed in an appointment. I have never had an extraordinary waiting time. The advice and care I have received here have been life changing for me. Thank you Dr. Zelner!
